You got to love it! Or hate it.. But in this case, my case, I really like this time of the year. Lights, decorations, some extra attention for people around you, extra efforts are taken to make your home more cosy and I haven’t even started about the food yet (talking about food – already seen my early Christmas dinner?) Luckily I’ve got a love who has the same (if not more) love for Christmas and surprised me with a tree last week. Time to spice it up, get all crazy and interior Christmas proof!

ALREADY CHRISTMAS PROOF? TRY THESE!

When going through my favorite inspiration platform, Pinterest, these days, it’s packed with Christmas vibes and Christmas interior inspiration. Last week I saw a DIY coming by with glass baubles (hah, I really had to look up this word.. never heard of the English version before!). Beautiful, minimalistic, simple and clean. The way I like it! So went for some transparent glass baubles and ended up at the Big Bazar (low-price and budget store) and make some own DIY baubles. TIP! These were filled with paper Christmas figures, which I took out with a tweezer. Low-budget, but still very pretty.

DIY – CHRISTMAS BAUBLES

I don’t think there is a guide needed here, but here you go anyways:

You’ll need:
1) Glass baubles, transparent
2) Eucalyptus, pine tree branches or any other filling you like

You’ll do:
Step 1: If needed, take out the original content of the bauble.
Step 2: Fill it up with branches, leafs, glitter, confetti, feathers and so on..

ALL PINK EVERYTHING

As you probably have seen on my blog and Instagram, I’m going through my pink phase. Pink sweaters, pink food, pink interior (read pink interior inspiration post here).. you name it! If it’s light, dusty pink; I probably like it. Don’t know how it started and I don’t know why, but now even the Christmas tree got my pink-fever. Luckily the boyfriend doesn’t mind.

OH BABY – LETTER BANNER

Next to trees, lights and baubles is the letter banner also one of my favorite home decorations. I bought it for my boyfriend’s birthday, but it’s perfect for any other festive occasion! The only hard thing about this is deciding on words! There are so many cool quotes, right? There might be a switch this month to ‘you had me at ho-ho-ho’ or the old time favorite ‘merry christmas, you filthy animal’. (Who doesn’t love Home Alone?). I bought this banner at a local store here, but you can find it online as well. It’s from A Little Lovely Company. Which quote would you use? Any more I shouldn’t forget?

I got so much more fun ideas, but unfortunately I have too little spare time and.. light! The one thing I hate most about winter is definitely the early darkness! The time frame for shooting is so small! And because I work Tue-Fri from 08.30-17.00, it’s only shoot-time in the weekends! So guess you’ll see another interior Christmas blog coming by next week!
