(Don’t worry about the title, it’s just for one day!)
The first thing to do when waking up in the morning is checking my mail, facebook, instagram and the news. After showering and getting dressed I turn on some music on spotify and somewhere between the make-up and doing my hair I text my boyfriend goodmorning. While or after breakfast I take my Macbook and check out my favorite blogs and webshops. In between my books or classes I get inspired by everything on the world wide web and keeping my friends up to date by sending snap chats of daily activities. Later the afternoon me and my roommates are discussing the diner of the evening over WhatsApp. Addicted to the digitalization? Maybe. But maybe we’re forced to do so, because almost all of the communication is through the online system. But what if the world 2.0 is breaking down some day? Will we survive? I’m going to check that out tomorrow. As an experiment from my class ‘Digital Lifestyle’ I’m going offline for an entire day. No phone. No Macbook/notebook. No television. Allthough I’m quite worried about doing this experiment myself, I’m so curious what it would do to me. Can I resist not to reach for my phone every 10 minutes? Or will I really enjoy the silence and absence of messages and social media notifications? And doing this knowing the Isabel Marant pour H&M bom is bursting tomorrow is freaking me out already..

Zelf merk ik op bijvoorbeeld vakantie (zonder computers of mobiel 3G) dat je in het begin steeds naar je mobiel wilt grijpen, maar na even ben je eraan gewend en is het eigenlijk wel even rustig om tijdelijk helemaal zonder electronica te zitten. (:
