My goal this year (body-wise)? A toned, lean and strong body! Let’s get those abs out! Why? Cause I’ve never seen them before in my life! How? Let me tell you!
So it has been quite a while since my last update about my fit journey. A little recap: I’ve started using the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines back in the end of 2014. I’ve lost a total of 7 kilo’s by working out and eating more healthy. In the beginning my motivation couldn’t be any stronger. I was losing weight, got more confident and energetic and people even started to see the difference. Then, by the end of 2015 I lost that motivation and energy to work out. And as some of you might know.. not working-out at all stands equal for not feeling the urge to eat healthy as well! Luckily I didn’t gain much weight, just 1 kilo, but I wanted to feel the fit-motivation again. Because oh boy.. nothing feels better than working on yourself and actually seeing result. Hard work really pays off! So.. I’ve started the Bikini Body Guide all over again and I’m currently working out in week 3. As happy as I am seeing the numbers 65 on the scale, it is time to tone up my body and get those muscles out in public! How? Get my fat percentage down! Starting this journey my fat percentage was a face-slapping 33% (it’s healthy between 21-33). Right now it’s 27%, according to the machine in my gym, so I’m half way there. If I want to see those abs I’ve worked so hard for -yes they are somewhere hiding underneath- I have to get that percentage down to 20%! How? Clean, healthy food filled with proteins and vitamins and most important: burn more calories than you consume! Seems easy right? Of course that’s not the case! That’s why I’ve been meal prepping for working-days, as you could see on Instagram and find healthy snack recipes to substitute for the sugar-loaded sweets. And that’s why I’ve started the BBG again and I’m ready to rock 2016! More specifically: burn a lot of calories by doing extra LISS and HIIT. Couldn’t hold back the quote above, found on Pinterest! Let’s get those abs out for the very first time! What are your goals? Would love to hear them!
This post is so inspiring! You look amazing! I’ve been pretty bad lately with my working out but I have realised that I love the feeling that it gives me so much. I’ve been feeling so heavy after 6 weeks of eating and drinking badly so time to crack on and get my energy back too! Thanks for the motivation. I’d love to hear here your exercise routine in more detail.
Also just realised I wasn’t following you on Insta until now, it’s so pretty!

Thank you so much Polly! Hope you find the motivation and energy, because once you’ve started that’s what you’ll get back! I know for myself how hard it is to start after a long period of not working out. But the feeling you get.. it’s so worth it! Right now I’m working out in week 3 of the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines. I’ll post a blog soon about my time management with working out 😉 Have a nice sunday! x
Super goed zeg!
