protein banana bread
Bananabread <3 A healthy and easy snack to take with you to work or as a quick breakfast. I tried different ones so far, but this time I wanted to add some extra protein so it would fit into my food schedule as a replacement. So I added some Skyr and whey to make it more protein-proof! And it worked! Also searching for protein packed recipes? You should definitely try these pink protein pancakes too!
PROTEIN BANANA BREAD (10 slices)
✚ 2 mid-sized bananas (about 200 grams)
✚ eggwhites from 3 eggs
✚ 100 grams spelt flour (or any other flour you like)
✚ 2 scoops of whey (60 grams)
✚ 100 grams of Skyr Naturel
✚ teaspoon of baking powder
✚ various nuts as topping
How it’s done:
✚ Mash the bananas with a fork or kitchen machine
✚ Add the eggwhites and mix it up
✚ Add the rest of the ingredients and mix it up
✚ Pour the mix into a baking pan
✚ Chop a handful of nuts and top the bananabread (you can also use slices of banana)
✚ Place the baking pan into a pre-heated oven on 180° C.
✚ Wait for about 20-30 minutes.
Let it cool down a bit and slice it up into 10 pieces. I store a few in the fridge and a few in the freezer so I got enough for a week! (Ok, mostly it’s gone when the week ends).
The macro’s for curious cookies out there, per slice: 94 Kcal – 0,7 gr. fat – 10,4 gr. carbs – 8,2 gr. protein.
